About Us

Vera Aguayo Becerra
I am a proud Latina, mother of three, step mom of two, and a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment. My journey has not been easy, but it’s shaped the person I am today. For a long time, I was a single mother, balancing the demands of raising my children while pursuing my Business degree and have since built a career in healthcare administration, where I combine my professional skills with my desires to serve others.
Recently, I remarried, which has added a new chapter to my life, but my commitment to supporting and uplifting women remains stronger than ever. My experiences as a single mother have given me a unique perspective on the challenges many women face-whether it’s balancing career and family, navigating personal hardships, or finding the strength to rebuild.
Through my work in healthcare and beyond, I am driven by the belief that every woman deserves to feel empowered, supported, and capable of achieving her goals. I’m passionate about using my story, my platform, and my VOICE to help women realize their potential and rise above the barriers they face. Everyday, I strive to be a source of encouragement and strength for other women who like me, are on their own paths of growth, resilience, and success.
Magaly Castaneda
My name is Magaly, I go by the nickname Mally. Originated from my father calling me Malita when I was very young.
I am a Mexican-American woman native Chicagoan, mother to two beautiful, wonderful children, sister to two incredible sisters and a brother and daughter to a very strong, intelligent, conservative woman.
I am an avid leader; I respect the art of writing and have admiration for many authors, but I must share that my favorite author is Stephen King. I am very fond of art overall; I enjoy being in the presence of something creative and unique that someone beautiful created. I encouraged my children to use art as a form of expression, whether it was emotionally difficult or just a positive feeling. My son is a graphic designer and sketch artist, and my daughter is a poet/writer (not professionally)
I was in the food service industry for many years of my life, prompting me to learn more about different cuisines. I courageously decided to open my own catering business in August 2023, and it has had many successes as well as its challenges. Eventually I would like to do it full time, I am determined to get to that point. Personally, the feeling of watching someone enjoy something you created with your hands is an incredible feeling.
My journey in this lifetime has had great experiences, moments and memories as well as many challenges. I’ve experienced marriage and divorce. I have lived in many different cities and valued all the culture in them, I lost everything and rebuilt it. I have traveled and seen.
During this journey, I call life and all the wonderful things that it has to offer I have also struggled, been heartbroken, homeless, depressed, anxious have dealt with addiction and mental instability.
My struggles have taken me to very dark roads and challenges that I never thought I’d encounter, but through the speed bumps that have been placed in my life I have learned.Learned to try, to fail, to break, to humble, to love, to trust, to distrust, to listen to my heart and the reasoning side of my mind, most importantly to stay strong through it all.
I’ve decided to share this journey in hopes that perhaps one or some of my words, help other women find the courage, value and strength within themselves to overcome some of the same challenges.
